BRUSSEL DANST DANCE BATTLE
DESCRIPTION
This year, Brussel Danst Dance Battles will highlight three categories: house, krump, and hip hop, under the theme of GROOVE.
Through groove we share, get inspired and celebrate. Urban spaces are transformed into vibrant stages where everyone contributes to a collective harmony while expressing their own identity.
Groove is not just a movement – it’s an invitation to connect, resist and vibe together.
Are you a dancer? Want to participate in the dance battles ? Sign up here.
This event is made possible by Timiss and Muntpunt, as part of Vlaanderen Feest, Brussel Danst, with the support of Lotto players and the City of Brussels.

STREAMLINES
DESCRIPTION
Streamlines is an emerging network, united by the shared ambition of supporting and orienting the incredible amount of young talent growing and flourishing in Brussels.
Composed of organizations like Entree, Muntpunt, Growfunding and Ancienne Belgique we aim to combine our resources—funding, spaces, infrastructure, and expertise—to empower Brussels' young people, and facilitate their quest of visibility, mentoring, knowledge, social capital, tools...where young people can create their own learning paths, develop new talents, discover new skills, and find guidance when in doubt.
To achieve this, we are working with a think tank composed of a diverse group of engaged and curious Brussels-based minds. These young thinkers meet regularly to discuss the ideal form of this future learning ecosystem. Their input ensures that we can address the true needs of young people and guide the project in the right direction. The network is currently reflecting on the most appropriate governance model, our role, and collaboration principles.
This project is made possible with the financial support of theEuropean Social Fund co-financed by Flanders.Currently, we are developing a three-year program of activities aimed at fostering hands-on learning through workshops, mentoring, and real-world projects, creating accessible pathways for skill development and professional growth.
Built on mutual learning, this learning ecosystem will allow both young participants and network members to benefit from shared experiences and diverse perspectives, with the goal of cultivating a supportive environment where emerging talents can thrive and make a meaningful impact in Brussels’ socio-cultural landscape.

BLACK DANCES UNCOVERED
DESCRIPTION
"Black dances uncovered: origins & authenticity" was an exchange program for practitioners of Black cultures living in Belgium, England and Europe. This exchange was organized by Zinnema (BE) in collaboration with Serendipity, the Institute for Black Arts & Heritage (UK) and Tabanka Dance (NO).
The program consisted of a selection of workshops with various coaches and choreographers from Africa and the Caribbean or its diaspora, as well as technical training to nurture participants' own artistic expression. At the end of the bootcamp there was a performance as part of the Let's Dance International Frontiers festival in Leicester (UK) that is organized every year by Serendipity.
The artistic direction of the program was in the hands of the well-known Thomas Prestø from Norway and his Talawa technique. This technique formed the basis for the working method of the entire program, which focused on emotional and spiritual work. The program focuses on Black cultures and brings decolonial and anti-racist perspectives within dance.
